بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Sadqah tul Fitr (Alm of Month Fitr) is termed as Fitrana in our Indo-Pak culture. The reason it's call Sadqah tul Fitr is that after the days of Ramadan, because of the blessing of Eid day this alms is been make obligatory so that poor and underprivileged can be included in jubilation of Eid.

Various Hadith regarding the quantity of Sadqah tul Fitr.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) narrates that
Allah's Apostle (SAW) has made Sadaqatul-Fitr obligatory, (and it was), either four kilograms of barley or four kilograms of dates (and its payment was obligatory) on young and old people, and on free men as well as on slaves.

Sahih Bukhari, Book of Tax, Hadith 1504.

Hazrat Abu Saeed Khadri (RA) narrated
We used to give four kilograms of meal or four kilograms of barley or four kilograms of dates, or four kilograms of cottage cheese or four kilograms of Raisins (dried grapes) as Zakat-ul-Fitr.

Sahih Bukhari, Book of Tax, Hadith 1506.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Sa'lbah bin Sa'ir (RA) narrates from his father that Allah's Apostle said:
Pay the Sadqah tul Fitr, One Sa' (four kilograms) of dates, or one Sa' barley or half Sa' (two kilograms) of Wheat, this for every young and elderly, man or woman, free or slave.
Masnad e Ahmed chapter 5 page 432, Sunan e Abu Daud, Hadith 1621

Therefore Sadqah tul Fitr is paid in the following rates,
  1. Wheat - 2 kilograms.
  2. Barley - 4 kilograms.
  3. Dates - 4 kilograms.
  4. Cottage cheese - 4 kilograms.
